Sponsorship Appeal
If your family sponsorship (e.g., spouse, child, parent) is refused, you may have the right to appeal to the Immigration Appeal Division (IAD).
How It Works
Who can appeal – Sponsors of spouses, common-law partners, and dependent children usually have appeal rights.
Deadline – Appeals must be filed within 30 days of refusal.
Hearing – The IAD reviews both IRCC’s refusal and your evidence.
Why It Matters
Many refusals can be overturned with proper evidence (e.g., proving a genuine relationship).
Appeals allow a fair review beyond paperwork.
At Nivara Immigration, we represent clients before the IAD, preparing strong evidence packages for successful outcomes.
